Saudad

Connect Claude Code

Claude Code remembers through CLAUDE.md files and auto memory, kept on your computer, one project at a time. Add Saudad with one command, and every project, every computer you add it on and your other agents share one memory.

Claude Code

  1. Run this in your terminal:

    Claude Code command
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user saudad https://saudad.ai/mcp

  2. In Claude Code, run /mcp, choose saudad, and sign in in the browser that opens.

  3. Ask: Remember that I use pnpm. Then open another project and ask which package manager you use.

--scope user makes Saudad available in every project. Leave it out to connect only the current one.

How Claude Code remembers today

Updated , from the vendor’s own pages; each source shows the day it was read.

Claude Code reads CLAUDE.md files: ~/.claude/CLAUDE.md for your preferences in every project, ./CLAUDE.md for a project’s shared instructions, and CLAUDE.local.md for your own notes on one project. In a folder with an AGENTS.md and no CLAUDE.md, it reads AGENTS.md instead.[1]

Auto memory adds what Claude Code learns as it works, without you writing anything. It’s on by default in local sessions, each repository gets its own folder under ~/.claude/projects, and Anthropic is explicit that it’s machine-local: the files aren’t shared across machines or cloud environments.[1]

So what Claude Code learns in one repository stays there, on that computer. Saudad is a memory outside the repository: with --scope user, the command above adds it to every project on your computer, and the same memory is there on another computer and in Codex, Cursor and Claude.[2]

Keep CLAUDE.md for what a project’s team should share in git, and let Saudad hold what you’d otherwise repeat everywhere: your preferences, your clients, your decisions.

Questions

Does Saudad replace CLAUDE.md?

No. CLAUDE.md is for instructions that belong with a project and its team. Saudad is for what you want every project and agent to know.

What does --scope user do?

It adds Saudad to every project on your computer. Without it, Claude Code uses local scope, which loads a server only in the project where you added it.

Is the memory the same on another computer?

Yes. Run the same command there and sign in to the same Saudad account, and Claude Code reads the same memory.

Has Saudad been tested with Claude Code?

Not on this build yet. We mark an app as tested only once a test on the current build is recorded, and the connect page says so.

What does Saudad cost?

€9 a month billed yearly, or €12 monthly, VAT included, after a 14-day free trial with no card.
